Overview of role:

Our Learning Consultants deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment relating to a sector specialism. You will be responsible for the overall teaching and learning of your apprentices.

Accountable for maintaining and developing a caseload of learners and their associated employers.

Ensuring the delivery of training programmes meet the development needs and career aspirations of the learner; benefit and fulfil the training needs of the employer; and meet the requirements of the funding agency, awarding organisation and Umbrella Training.


To recognise training needs within the organisations you operate within and promote Umbrella Training programmes that will support their long-term growth and development plans, and people development strategies with a view to long term business generation.


Purpose of Role:


  • To be responsible for maintaining and developing a caseload of learners within agreed sector specialist area(s) in line with expertise, experience and qualifications
  • To deliver teaching, learning and assessment within the agreed sector specialist areas; working towards the relevant apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills where required
  • To develop and enhance maths and English skills for all learners
  • To provide meaningful education to learners to recognise and understand the value of the Equality and Diversity agenda; teach and develop knowledge of the Fundamental British Values, and ensure learners are resilient and safe from a Prevent and Safeguarding perspective.
  • To teach in a way that accounts for reasonable adjustments and provides appropriate support for special educational needs and disabilities,
  • Work in partnership to ensure that planning and delivery of programmes is tailored to support the growth and development of our learners
- fulfil the training needs of the employer and to meet with their learning and development strategies, supporting their productivity and business growth through robust information, advice and guidance (IAG) and ongoing needs analysis

  • To actively engage with quality cycle outputs and feedback activities; working to continually reflect and improve on own performance through identification of development needs and actively seeking CPD opportunities to enhance and build on experience and skills.
  • To support business growth activity, identifying new and repeat business opportunities and referring them to the commercial team.
  • To support business growth by establishing opportunities for extending the offer of services with current clients and maximising the portfolio of services provided
  • Comply with the requirements set out by the commissioning body (funding agency); Umbrella Training policies and processes; those set out by the End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) and Awarding Organisations' (AO) requirements
  • Support the demands of the department and business as needed.
  • Maintain and keep up to date electronic calendar/diary
  • To observe awarding organisation, audit compliance, EPA regulations and Umbrella Policies
  • Arrange and manage 11s with learners.
  • Engage with employers to promote Apprenticeships and other Umbrella Training Ltd training programmes and their benefits.
  • Attend external events that have a positive impact on Umbrella Training Ltd inclusion to all sectors we work with such as careers events as requested by your line manager

Qualifications and experience:


Essential

  • English and Math's at minimum level 2 (GCSE A
  • C or equivalent or Functional Skills at level 2)
  • Strong experience and passion within Industry/sector and ideally within a 4 or 5star (luxury) environment
  • Evidence of discipline with/and meeting strict deadlines and targets
  • Working with a diverse client base and having a professional approach at all levels
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work and adapt within a changing environment
  • Experience in staff training/coaching/mentoring/inductions

Desirable

  • Industry qualifications at level
  • Level 4 teaching training qualification and suitable occupational/i
