Description
As a HR Advisor you will support the Group HR Manager in the day to day running of the HR department.
With a particular focus on employee relations, you will be dealing with guiding and coaching line managers through queries around attendance, performanceand employment law among other responsibilities.
The role will also include administrative support, process/procedure development and working on continuous improvement.Further Responsibilities
- Being part of, or leading, strategic HR projects which support the growth of the HR function and of the business as a whole.
- Responsible for providing a professional HR advisory service to line managers and employees on all employment matters.
- Lead end to end case management for employee relations cases and projects.
- Providing advice, guidance and support to line managers on a range of employee relations issues, including disciplinary and dismissal, grievance, absence, capability issues and workplace incidents.
- Monitor and manage absence, including maternity/paternity leave, shortterm and longterm sick and occupational health incidents.
- Adopting a coaching style to support the development of organisational capability in managing employment relations issues.
- Working with and keeping regular communication channels with employees and line managers.
- Ensuring policies and procedures are consistently applied across the organisation and updating them to ensure legal compliance and continuous improvement.
- Data analysis and reporting on statistics to facilitate continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- CIPD Level 5 Diploma
- At least 4 years generalist HR experience
- A minimum of 2 years employee relations experience, including case management
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of employment law
- Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment desirable
- Previous experience of managing or working in a project team
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am-5pm
Friday: 8:30am-3:30pm,
