Are you on the lookout for a rewarding new job where you can make a difference every day? Look no further Our fantastic #TeamBirchview in Elgin are looking for two caring, flexible and adaptable individuals to join them on a part-time, 30 hours per week permanent basis as Support Practitioners.


The Role
The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same.

You'll become part of a fun, friendly team who provide short-term respite care for individuals with various physical and learning disabilities.

Our team are dedicated to make sure that everyone's stay is one to remember.


Your aim will be to give support with all aspects of daily living, encouraging independence and helping them to reach their goals and potential.

You'll also support the individuals to take part in various activities throughout their stay, these include bowling, going to the cinema, going out for a cuppa and getting out and about.


About you


Here at Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills to be successful in your new role.

We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too


All we'll need you to bring is:

  • A caring and compassionate attitude.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • Confidence to lone work.
  • Great communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • A drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support.
  • Confidence in the use of computers.

Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support possible shift patterns fall into patterns of early mornings, days, evenings. Waking nights, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Our sleepover shifts do not form part of your contracted hours. You will receive an additional payment of
£84 for every sleepover shift that you work.

If working a Waking Night shift you will receive your normal hourly rate plus an additional payment of £20 per night.
