Service Care Solutions are looking for a Roll-out Engineer to work as part of the End User Support Team, within the Avon & Somerset Police on a 6-month contract.


Location:
Bristol


Job role/responsibilities:


  • Works within a designated team and across virtual teams as necessary.
  • Provides detailed technical knowledge to a range of technical support and development services.
This will include, but is not limited to, the following:
Provision, development, and solution. Installation and configuration Inputs to development of standardsService monitoring, asset management, pro-active prevention, and associated maintenance. Fault diagnosis and resolution. Upgrades and Patching Undertakes various technical activities. Liaison with third-party suppliers. Provision of technical advice and guidanceto Clients. Understands and complies with use of all standard procedures and ITIL processes.

  • To create documentation and deliver training packages.
  • To develop the technical support provision for the organisation and the IT infrastructure required to deliver the IT services and products to meet the needs of the force.
  • To help create new knowledge base articles, to share information for reuse throughout the team and IT Directorate and provide procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • Works and recommends on an agreed range of performance outcomes, to proactively recommend service improvement measures. Undertakes developmental or remedial actions as directed in response to review or business feedback.
  • Delivers tasks within technical projects and BAU, advising and recommendations in the development and implementation of solutions. Uses a combination of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills, including consultation skills.
  • To support the strategy of the IT Directorate contributing to the overall strategy and vison of the organisation.

Essential Experience/Qualifications:


  • Experience of working in an IT Environment.
  • Experience in relevant technologies.
  • Experience of providing assistance to projects.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:


  • Experience of working in a mature IT environment.
