Head of Health & Safety Operations - Exciting Opportunity

- Hybrid work setup from Nottingham HQ
- Pay up to £60k plus monthly car allowance of £450
- Ideally located in Northampton / Oxford / East Anglia region

A fantastic chance to be part of a prominent Health & Safety Consultancy with a national presence.

As the Head of Health & Safety Operations, you will be the primary contact for the senior management team regarding necessary reports or client care issues.


You are expected to be present at the head office in Nottingham weekly and attend client meetings in the region and occasionally nationally in your role as Head of Health & Safety.


Role Overview:

  • Effectively manage and guide a small team of professionally qualified Health & Safety Consultants.
  • Ensure all work complies with current legislation.
  • Monitor, assess, and inspire the team and its activities to enhance performance and drive business growth in terms of revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee a client portfolio by conducting health and safety assessments per contract terms.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills in a logical and cost-efficient manner; adept at prioritizing workloads within the team.
  • Proficient in written English, capable of producing high-quality letters, reviews, and reports.
  • Solid experience in recruiting, onboarding, supporting, and training staff of all levels while maintaining professional qualifications for the team.

About You:

  • At least three years of post-qualification management experience at CMIOSH level.
  • Experience in leading a team of qualified professionals.
  • Proven expertise in advising on various health and safety issues across multiple industries.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, authorities, and employees at all levels.
  • Member of International Institute of Risk and Safety Management or equivalent professional bodies (not mandatory but highly beneficial).

Salary: Up to £60,000.00 per year
