We are recruiting for a Warranty Materials Inspector, to join our small team of qualified ex-technicians. This is a great role for someone who wants to continue working with cars and car parts without getting your hands dirty

The Role

As an integral member of the team the Warranty Materials Inspector will contribute to the delivery of the assessment of failed motor vehicle components, paying particular attention to the components required back by the manufacturer/supplier.

In using your technical knowledge, you will ensure a positive manufacturing defect with the component can be identified and that the rectification work for the defect has been carried out in a technically correct manner Additionally, the Warranty Materials Inspector will:

inspect and process accurate recording/documenting of presented components

- take appropriate action in terms of processing further evaluation/tests
- work closely with the Warranty Material Inspectors and management to ensure that KPI's are understood and achieved
- ensure all required data is captured, recorded and legible
- ensure all accepted components are rendered unusable prior to disposing

About you
To be successful in this role the Warranty Materials Inspector will:

hold City and Guilds level 1,2 & 3, NQV level 4 or BTEC national or higher national diploma in motor vehicle Technology/Electrics

- have knowledge and an understanding of newer vehicles/electric/Hybrid
- be able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
- be motivated to achieve deadlines and KPI's
