We are looking for a full time SEN teaching assistant who specialises in supporting students on the autistic spectrum to work at one of our schools in Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work at a school who ensures excellent teaching and learning takes place within a safe and inclusive environment.
The school aims to create a love of learning and a resilience that is essential to achieving and exceeding expectations.
Their two simple rules they uphold are to work hard and be nice.Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in their social development and their emotional wellbeing, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate;
- Maintain of a clean, safe and tidy learning environment;
- Support the teacher in monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress/activities;
- Support pupils to understand instructions, support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with SEND children (autism experience preferable).
- Behaviour management skills.
- Ability to working as part of a team.
- A caring and empathetic personality
- Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided)
