About our Client:

This young adult is a full-time wheelchair user and relies on the assistance of dedicated caregivers to maintain their independence and well-being.

Your responsibilities will encompass every aspect of daily life to ensure their comfort and quality of life.

As written by them
"I'm passionate about art and hope you are someone who could share this passion and knowledge with me. My timetable can vary, so I'm looking for someone who can assist me in class with taking notes, carrying my resources, and accessing them for me if needed.

Because my disabilities are progressive and unpredictable, I need to keep a record of all my episodes of symptoms and attend regular doctor's appointments.

I want to ensure that my care is completed with dignity and under my direction so I can explain exactly how I need things to happen.

Over time, I hope that you'll be able to anticipate my needs, but I understand that they can vary daily, so we'll have to adapt accordingly.

One of my goals is to find an accessible swimming pool, which will be easier once I have a car.

Swimming regularly helps with my pain and improves my mood, so I look forward to this happening eventually.

In daily care, I'll need prompts and assistance with tasks like dressing, preparing food, taking medication, showering/changing the bedding, and keeping track of deadlines and appointments.

An optimistic and open-minded outlook is best, as I like to be positive and accepting of everything in life. Don't worry; it's not all work.

I love going out and having fun, and if you have a dark sense of humour, that would be brilliant, as I believe laughter is always best.

"
