Due to continuing growth we are looking for an experienced Accounts Clerk at our busy Office and factory in South Normanton DE55 2FX.

DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
An Accounts Clerk performs various clerical and routine accounting tasks, e.g. assisting in handling customer and supplier enquiries relating to their accounts that are of financial nature. Responds to inquiries and contacts other departments and/or vendors to resolve a variety of problems.

The Accounts Clerk reports to the Office and Finance Manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Bank and cash book reconciliation daily
  • Sales invoicing to be done daily.
  • Credit control for all customers
  • Processing of Purchase Ledger invoices and matching these with delivery notes.
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Provide absence/holiday cover for the Teams Leader and Accounts Supervisor.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great numeracy skills
  • Proficiency with computers, especially bookkeeping software and MS Office.
  • Business acumen and interest
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Analytical ability
  • Friendly and approachable with a professional telephone manner

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Secondary School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent Excel knowledge
  • Experience with Opera preferred.

From £23, Will discuss pay rate at interview dependant on experience.
