Description
We're looking for a Business Support Specialist to join our Payment Operations team on a permanent basis.


Reporting to the Inventory and Release Team Operations Senior Manager, you will be responsible for establishing a relationship with all stakeholders associated to all tasks that are part of the Inventory and Release function, ensuring that there is always a customer focus with all decision making.

Be responsible for identifying and feeding back Senior Manager areas of improvement, risk, or opportunity to make the process more efficient, accurate or enrich data quality in order to support better reporting outputs and core governance requirements (incl. Ofcom). Reviewing with all key collaborators to inspire change and improvements.

What will you be doing?

  • To address key customer queries relating to all aspects of Network and Premise inventory processing in a variety of different communication methods.
  • Attend weekly interlock calls with key collaborators to drive throughput and identify areas of concern or provide updates back to the business.
  • To identify key areas of risk to governance and control and flag these to the Operations Manager, coming up with forward looking improvement suggestions to remediate.
  • Be responsible for the deployment of process fixes, supported by the Operations Manager
  • To handle RPA exceptions and anomalies identified by exception reporting or trend analysis.
  • See opportunity to improve processes, with a strong focus on automation.
  • Identify upstream processes where steps can be taken to simplify, standardise and control such that Team processes are simple, efficient, and well controlled.
  • Support impact assessments and requirements gathering for any change projects lead from within or outside the team which impact on the Team, as required.
  • Ensure that all process change is handled with strong understanding of impact on processing. Be part of development meetings on projects to share knowledge.
  • Be comfortable with the various systems which form the inventory processing operation.
  • Consider the process end to end, to understand all source inputs and outputs, so that you are processing and reviewing with both a focus on customer requirements and considering the limitations of our inputs.

  • Ability to influence collaborator groups to deliver process change.
  • Able to think about the wider impacts of process change and rationalise "why" we are making a change, ahead of "what" we are doing and "how".
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Clear understanding of SLAs and KPIs.
