  • The GCD Operations team's work is at the heart of the FCA's operational decision making and affords a holistic overview of the FCA's operation as a business.

  • Associate

  • Qualified lawyer: generally a person who is newly qualified to 3 years' PQE, or equivalent experience
  • Senior Associate
  • Qualified Lawyer: generally a person who is a minimum 3 years' PQE, or equivalent experience
  • Lead Associate
  • Qualified Lawyer: generally a person who is a minimum 10 years' PQE, or equivalent experience
  • Key criteria strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver good and clear analysis of issues ability to learn about new or novel legal issues quickly and with enthusiasm, with the oversight and support of colleagues ability to create solutions and deliver pragmatic outcomefocused judgements ability to advise in a confident and reasoned manner, and to challenge appropriately ability to build and sustain positive relationships and good communication skills, and good IT skills
  • Salary:
The FCA has London and National pay ranges to reflect regional differences. Roles in Edinburgh and Leeds will be on the National pay range.


The FCA pay ranges are:


  • Associate
: £42,000 to £64,000 (London) and £41,000 to £61,000 (National)
  • Senior Associate
: £61,000 to £91,000 (London) and £55,000 to £82,000 (National)
  • Lead Associate
: £67,000 to £101,000 (London) and £60,300 to £91,000 (National)We also offer a flexible- benefits package
