This is an opportunity to support with the delivery of The Mix's youth work provision. This role will focus on the coordination and delivery of our
Violence against Women and Girls initiative.

Overview of the post:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that our youth work programmes are equipped with everything they need to play an important role in supporting Suffolk's Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) strategy.

The role will involve close collaboration with all our youth work programmes at The Mix and we are therefore looking for someone who is
passionate, knowledgeable, and highly organised.

The aim of our VAWG initiative is to grow our provision of group support, primarily for young women, and to ensure it is meeting and responding to the needs of young people locally.

The role is likely to include some delivery of these groups, as well as training and equipping of our wider youth work team to deliver sessions and to integrate VAWG topics into their programmes.

The role is also likely to involve the
facilitation of assemblies and creative media to address these topics.

The post is ideally suited to a confident, motivated, and engaging youth worker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a passion for Violence against Women and Girls and empowering young people to realise their potential.

*This role may include occasional evening work. Working hours are flexible, and opportunities for additional hours are available, if desired.
