Rotating 3 shift pattern: 6-2pm, 10pm-6am, 2pm-10pm _

  • We are a nosmoking/no vaping site **_
  • Start machine, verify tensions and monitor operation and quality of the rolls.
  • Reading production instructions to determine the number of reels required slitting/rewinding.
  • Monitoring operational speeds to ensure that it continues to run smoothly, efficiently and safely.
  • Check products for quality throughout the process.
  • Ensure that the products conform to the specifications of the production sheet.
  • Performing safety checks on equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly before production begins.
  • Loading and unloading jumbo reels and unloading of completed reels.
  • Inspecting slitting machinery for defects and making repairs if needed.
  • Maintaining production logs and maintenance activities.
  • Observing to monitor cutting speeds, tension settings, blade alignment, and blade sharpness. Examine slit reels for dimensions, quality checks and inspects for any defects.
  • Regularly inspect machine for performance and perform basic preventative maintenance i.e. lubricating and cleaning machine and surrounding area.
  • Follow all rules and regulations relating to safety, production, quality and production safety.
  • Maintain a clean working area.
  • Practice safe behaviour with regards to equipment and tasks.

Desirable attributes:_

  • Must have previous experience of running production machinery.
  • Must have knowledge of H&S and related procedures.
Shifts: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am


Salary:
£11.55 per hour
