£18.76 per hour

Our client is looking for an experienced Procurement Support Assistant.

Provide administrative and project support to assist the smooth running of the procurement function by providing a dedicated resource to the Council's central procurement team known internally as the Procurement Hub.

The role will provide support for all work programmes undertaken by the Procurement Hub.

More specifically the postholder shall:
Provide project support to the central and wider procurement teams
Assist the development of consistent procurement processes and procedures.
Assist with the monitoring of the commercial benefits such as social value, sustainability outcomes and other key performance targets
Work with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a wide range of procurement processes.
Undertake market research and benchmarking through desktop activities and stakeholder engagement in order to assist and inform the wider procurement team in their sourcing process in line with the most appropriate policies on corporate and social responsibilities
Providing timely returns and accurate research, benchmarking and other statistical data as required vital
Co-ordinate, collate, analyse and process and produce accurate reports detailing Council contracting activities and expenditure
Have responsibility for the provision of comprehensive administrative support for the effective operation of the e-procurement systems and processes including:
e-tendering
e-contract management
e-catalogues and purchasing (CedAr)
e-invoicing and self-billing
