This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team who constantly look at ways to improve processes in the service they provide.

The Apprentice Business Education Administrator role plays a key part in assisting the delivery of education services to the multi-professional, non-medical workforce.

The post holder will be conscientious, have excellent customer service, communication and I.T. skills and have a willingness to learn.


The successful post holder must be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of data quality and have a flexible approach to work.

At times you will be expected to work under your own initiative once the relevant training has been given.


The main duties of the role are:

  • Assist Business Education Officer with various Team activities, relating to commissioning and Study Leave Applications.
  • Work alongside the Business Education Officer to ensure invoices are prepared and issued.
  • Frequently use the SBS system and liaise with Procurement Services to obtain the required information to process employee's funding requests.
  • Input and retrieve information from BEST including recording of course attendance, outcomes and qualifications obtained.
  • Continually monitor and amend the commissioning master document, always ensuring accuracy and escalate any concerns.


As this is an Apprentice post as well as learning and performing the job role you will also be studying and completing the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.

To be eligible for this apprenticeship post you must meet the criteria below:

  • Be over 16 years old
  • Be able to work in the UK without any restriction (e.g., have a valid visa for the duration of the apprenticeship)
  • Have been lawfully living in the United Kingdom or any other member state of the EEA for the last 3 years

PLEASE NOTE:

Although this post is initially offered as a fixed term contract, the post will become permanent on successful completion of the apprenticeship.


The purpose of the role is to assist in delivering a consistent and professional administrative education service to the multi-professional, non-medical workforce.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting the Business Education Team to commission and manage educational activities in accordance with the Study Leave Policy.

They will be guided by standard processes and systems linked to educational procurement, recording and monitoring of uptake and spend.


Under the leadership of our Chair, Jacqui Smith and Matthew Trainer, our Chief Executive we provide care for the residents of three diverse London boroughs.

More than half of our 7,500 strong workforce are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups and most live in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge.


Our services include all the major specialties of large acute hospitals, operating from two main sites - King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford.

We also provide outpatient services at Brentwood Community Hospital, Barking Hospital, Loxford Polyclinic and Harold Wood Polyclinic.


As we recover from Covid-19, we're proud to be leading the way in reducing the time our patients wait to get the treatment they need.
