Thornes Lane Café are looking for an apprentice to join a fast paced café, gaining valuable skills and experience such as Barista skills, chef, customer care.
Just to name a few as well as gaining a Level 2 qualification in HospitalityDuties required in this role as follows:
- Prepare hot and cold food in the kitchen area
- Cleaning down the kitchen and prep areas as and when required
- Follow hygiene and safety procedures
- Ensuring excellent & professional guest service is consistently provided at all times
- Knowledge of all food and beverage offerings in the restaurant and bar
- Taking orders for tables and delivering food and beverages
- Communicating & liaising with team members, kitchen & other areas of the operation
- Somebody who is reliable
- Somebody who can work under their own initiative
- Somebody able to work different shifts and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
The role of Apprentice hospitality team member is to provide support to the entire team and complete general day to day duties within the hospitality sector.
Your learning and Development will be supported by your own Regional Trainer who will guide you throughout your Hospitality Apprenticeship.
To become an apprentice, you must:
- be 16 or over
You can start an apprenticeship whether you're starting your career, want a change or you're upskilling in your current job.
As an apprentice you'll:
- have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
- learn and train for a specific job
- get hands-on experience in a real job
- study for at least 20% of your working hours
- complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
- be on a career path with lots of future potential
Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Standard:
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the apprentice's chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role.
This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.The role will involve working in the Kitchen in a busy environment during peak times.
Whilst on an apprenticeship an apprentice is entitled to an NUS card NUS Apprentice extra.
