Description

As a Financial Controller, you will oversee the extensive duties undertaken by the finance team, while setting targets and supporting other departments to create and maintain their budgets.

You will also provide commercial input to the Senior Management Team, oversee financial controls and drive business improvements. You must be able to balance key technical, statistical, and numerical abilities with your managerial responsibilities.

You willhave two direct reports and will be supported by the Chief Financial Officer of the group when first settling into your new position.

Salary:
£50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on your experience


Hours: 37.5 hour per week Monday - Friday (core hours being 10am - 4pm) hybrid working would also be available for this opportunity

Duties will include:


  • Oversee the management and development of the finance team
  • Provide detailed monthly management accounts with relevant KPI's and analysis
  • Production of annual budget and monthly forecasting
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Creation of annual budget and forecast models
  • Cashflow reporting and management
  • Maintain monthly intercompany reconciliations (both national and international entities)
  • Responsibility for financial control, risk mitigation and accounting policies
  • Coordinate year end procedures and audit process
  • Manage the monthly closing processes of the finance team
  • Maintain accurate VAT accounting records; ensuring the company is compliant in all legislation changes and implementing any change accordingly
  • Help establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
  • Support the production of new financial KPIs and help drive the operational teams to improve performance
  • Maintain strong relationships with external parties

Skills and Experience Required:


  • Fully qualified Accountant
  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Core understanding of UK GAAP
  • Experience using Sage Line 50
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, index lookups, etc )
