The role:

A global electronics business in West Sussex requires a Manufacturing Engineer with PCBA manufacturing experience to join the NPI team for an initial 6 month contract which is highly likely to be extended.

All electronic design and manufacturing takes place onsite in West Sussex. You will be the interface between the Electronic Design team and the Production team for 8-12 layer PCB assemblies.


You should be experienced with PCB Assembly and must understand what it takes to take PCB designs through to production and manufacture.

You will be involved in all aspects of PCBA.

In the early stages this will involve speaking to component manufacturers, and then later on working with the production operators to ensure they are manufacturing the PCB's efficiently.

This could mean helpingoperators make the electronic products.


Skills required:


  • Full lifecycle PCBA experience
  • Surfacemount and throughhole PCB experience
  • Confident working with suppliers for electronic components
  • Confident liaising with various teams. This includes electronic design, mechanical, production, suppliers etc
  • PFMEA
  • Good documentation skills
  • An understanding on PCB enclosures. Ideally using Metals
