If you have a compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others, you could be just what we're looking for.

As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse.

You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team and alongside other social care services to identify how we can help.

You will develop plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be.


The multi-agency MDT will provide holistic wrap-around support and drug and alcohol treatment for rough sleepers and those at risk of rough sleeping across the county.

Assistance will be tailored to the needs of each individual and will provide support addressing physical health, mental health, substance abuse, family connections, as well as work to develop a pathway into accommodation.

The working pattern is Monday to Friday with some evening work as and when required A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role About this job You will work as part of a team with the aims of:

understanding your clients keeping them safe creating a plan they can achieve with your support checking in with them and reviewing their progress keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them working effectively with other social care providers e.g.

Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will:

have attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or be willing to achieve this within 12 months have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise you work have good oral and written communication skills be comfortable using IT and digital media be organised and able to manage your time effectively able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion be happy to support other With You locations when needed You will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check Desirable Skills A full job description will be provided upon request About Company Everyone should feel comfortable getting the support they need for issues with drugs, alcohol or mental health.
