Are you interested in developing new cancer biomarkers at a world top 100 University? We have an exciting opportunity to discover and validate novel predictive markers of response to treatment in bladder cancer, working with leading scientists and clinicians.

You will be working in the Department of Biosciences and the Faculty of Health using cell culture techniques, next generation sequencing and clinical trial samples.


Educated to master's level, or with equivalent experience as a laboratory technician, you will have experience in cell culture, nucleic acid techniques and next generation sequencing library preparation.

Previous experience working with human tissue samples is also beneficial. Additional training in tissue-based assays, histology and digital pathology will available in this role. Whilst this post is laboratory-based, there will be opportunities to gain experience in bioinformatics and image analysis.

You will have a critical approach to designing and running experiments with exceptional attention to detail and record keeping skills.

An understanding of biases and the importance of reproducibility in research is also essential.
