Secondary Teaching Assistant

Salary:
£73-£84 per day

An excellent secondary school with

'good' behaviour in Newcastle is looking to appoint a creative teaching assistant to join their dynamic and forward thinking SEN department.


You will be assigned to a year group and be working with pupils that have an EHCP for additional needs or SEMH challenges.

The team are lovely and will make you feel very welcome


The main duties will include:

  • Supporting the pupils in their education
  • Supporting and managing behaviour
  • Working with the class teacher to implement interventions
  • Supporting and delivering creative and innovative lessons
  • Using formative and summative assessment
  • Assessing phonics following the school's chosen program
  • Promoting independence with life skills
  • Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
  • Be available for work Monday to Friday
  • Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with ourselves)
  • A fully checkable work history
  • In addition to that, we are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants._
