Stantec UK has a market-leading Environmental Services (ES) group, supporting clients across their environmental, geotechnical and water disciplines.

Within our ES group we are seeking Graduate Net Zero, Climate Change and Sustainability consultants to join our Graduate programme across in the UK.

This role can be based out of
Brighton,
Edinburgh or
Redditch.

This is a great opportunity to join our ES group, where you will be involved in;

  • Undertaking carbon footprinting and developing low carbon solutions in support of our clients' Net Zero plans.
  • Sustainability appraisal, natural capital and social value assessments.
  • Conducting climate change risk assessments and developing adaptation plans and strategies.
  • Developing digital approaches to embed sustainability into our wider engineering and environmental services.
  • Providing support on wider sustainability and resource efficiency projects


We will help you to engage with the latest climate change/sustainability legislation, policy and guidance as well as to develop your capabilities in Project Management.

2023 will be Stantec UK's largest graduate intake. It's an exciting time as we embark on an ambitious path to grow.

About You


You will have achieved an Honours Degree in Sustainability, Climate, Engineering, Geography, Business, Economics, Environmental Scienceor other environmental related degree.

Key is your passion for climate change, the Net Zero challenge, social value and wider sustainability as demonstrated in your studies or work experience.

You will enjoy getting into the business and detail of developing practical solutions, that integrate different disciplines and perspectives, in ways that bring real and lasting benefits to communities and the environment.

Your affiliation, Graduation or Associate membership to any of the following will be highly regarded.

  • Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management
  • Institutions of Civil, Chemical or Mechanical Engineers
  • Institute for Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA)
  • Institute of Environmental Science (IES) or equivalent
All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK at the time you start employment.
