Job Summary
The Specialist Delivery team (SD) is a team of experts managing HR operations, whose duties include:

  • Being accountable for all HR operations whether managed within the Region or outsourced with internal or external vendors. SD team needs to ensure accuracy & timeliness of all HR operations to ensure a positive impact to staff who are our internal clients.
  • Ensuring Regulatory compliance with respect to all SD activities.
  • The responsibility of implementing Group HR policies, standards & procedures specific to HR operational activities, ensuring alignment with Local Regulatory requirements in Region and the delivery of Staff Benefits over the Staff lifecycle with the bank;i.e. from Hire to Exit process.
  • Technical and specialized services within HR operations and help in implementing any newly developed HR products and services
  • The role of the HR Specialist Delivery for UK is to set out and drive the Specialist Delivery strategy and take responsibility for the delivery of services in the UK. The role works in close partnership with Heads of HR, HR Centre of Expertise (COE's),Group HR & Global People Services (GPS) team to understand the requirements and ensure appropriate delivery.

Responsibilities

Processes:


  • Drive simplification of HR processes to ensure enhancement of service level from customer perspective.
  • Identify and implement a comprehensive shortterm and mediumterm plan for simplifying complex HR operational activities in the countries / region
  • Collaborate with HR CoEs to achieve excellence in the implementation of HR products and policies across business functions, seeking to improve functional understanding of these in order to drive business performance and employee motivation.
  • Drive all HR operational activities from the perspective of the region, in line with Group guidelines and Regulatory requirement acting as a point of contact for the HR team.
  • Lead the oversight of vendors: this is a key part of the role given the reliance we place on vendors to deliver a wide range and depth of HR services

Primary responsibilities include:

vendor changes, vendor hygiene requirements, input into pricing discussions,escalations from either colleagues or the vendor, and service review meetings.


  • Manage, evaluate and improve effectiveness of all HR Operational activities.
  • Oversight of the delivery of benefits in the UK, including oversight of benefit related systems such as UK Darwin infrastructure & ADP and related activities involving life insurance, medical benefits and income protection where liaison with an insurancebroker will be required.
  • Data extracts needed for vendors and other benefit purposes (for example for pricing insurance cover, insuring individuals, valuing pension liabilities or consolidating information on Material Risk Takers).
  • Leading on all matters involving administration, communication with members, audit, and taxation of member benefits.
  • Attending regular Admin and Risk Committee and Trustee Board meetings
  • Reviewing and approving payments to nonUK based pensioners
  • Managing communications with employees, including DC and DB benefit statements, Trustee Report to Members, Pensioner Newsletters and continuing education campaign
  • Trivial commutation, GMP reconciliation and data quality improvement projects
  • Fund Audit
  • Review of data protection provisions in Trustees' supplier contracts and other GDPR activities
  • Responding to members' queries where appropriate, and investigating pension complaints made to the Bank and Trustees
  • Annual Bonus Waiver exercise
  • Working with local Jersey management in representing the Bank in relation to the Trustees of the Jersey DB and DC plans, supporting the ongoing activities in similar areas to the UK, including responsibility for tasks such as preparation of meeting packs,meeting minutes, managing tax returns and payments
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in HR SD activities by technology enhancements, migration to GPS or process improvements.
  • Inspire a focus on quality improvement at all times, looking internally and externally for best practice.

  • Play a key role in helping manage the day to day work responsibilities and goals of GPS resources appointed specifically to the Europe region.

  • Proactive risk management; remain vigilant in identifying and managing forwardlooking risks, flagging potential problems to relevant stakeholders in advance of issues arising.
  • Support statutory and internal audits, as appropriate.
  • Act to minimise operational loss and audit failures and take proactive measures to respond to issues once they have arisen.

Financial management:


  • Review the alignment of HR owned accounts to ensure proper governance and controls

Governance:


  • Ensuring all reporting and metrics are delivered to preagreed standards
  • Embed the Group's Valued Behaviours and Code of Conduct across the team
