Description

FSG have an exciting new opportunity as a Business Administrator Apprentice within our Operations department. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint our next apprentice.


If you have in interest in Business Administration, and the day to day running within the Operations department of a fast-moving organisation we'd love to hear from you.


As well as working alongside the other members of the Administration Team, you will also work with our Operations Manager, Project Managers, Commercial Manager, and Business & Facilities.


The Administration Team supports the administration of various projects, including reactive property maintenance, New Build projects, void property refurbishments, disabled adaptations, and renewable energy installations.

The team's work is varied and includes supporting all the other departments within the organisation.


You will liaise directly with clients, residents, and company staff maintaining effective communications for the smooth running of projects and contracts issued to you.

The role will require good IT knowledge, effective communication, and organisational skills.


Main responsibilities:


  • Carrying out postal duties
  • Scanning
  • Organisation of paperwork
  • Supporting the team with various tasks
  • Keeping files up to date
  • Meeting minute taker
  • Travel & accommodation planning
  • Marketing activities including social media

Other duties:


  • Generate all new works orders for your contracts on the IT program. Create job packs where required
  • Customer Care satisfaction calls
  • Update works in the IT system whenever the status changes. Ensure accurate notes are added to records of works in the IT system so that progress can be monitored
  • Liaise with the Project Managers on a daily basis & update the works orders in the IT system accordingly. Report any issues to Contract managers
  • Chasing supply chain when required and reporting to project/ contract managers with live data
  • Provide administrative duties including photocopying, typing, filing, sending and receiving electronic mail, and answering the telephone
  • Data entry requirements
  • To provide administration cover on other contracts during staff absence/holidays if required
  • Responsible for any other procedure deemed necessary on an 'ad hoc' basis by the Operations Manager
  • Additional duties to conduct in line with the apprenticeship course content

Entry requirements

GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above.

Predicted grades will be accepted.

Training to be provided

  • Training with Milton Keynes College.
  • Ongoing training, support, and development with the employer.
  • Business Administrator Level 3.
