Position Summary:

The Grinding Shop Operator is responsible for all aspects of the Grinding Operation including sharpening static and flying knifes, grinding machine maintenance, keeping sufficient inventory of parts and helping out the maintenance team with routine and reactive maintenance and repair of all equipment in Cable Granulation Plant.

Essential Responsibilities:

Operate GOCKEL Grinding Machine
Follow routine grinding schedules for granulator blades/knifes
Follow routine replacement schedule for static and flying knifes on granulators in Cable Granulation Plant
Inspect equipment and plant components for defects or safety issues
Clean, grease and maintain components and equipment in Cable Granulation Plant
Carry out repairs and modifications on the plant components and equipment
Work with other team members to maintain a clean and safe work area
Must be able to read schematics and diagrams to understand machine and plant operation.
Must be able to understand and follow written instructions.
Must be able to understand and follow verbal directions.
Must be able to communicate with other team members in order to coordinate activities.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
