Hourly Rate:
£13.76 (Paid breaks) - Pending 2023 Pay Rise

Main Duties


The front of house team leader is responsible for managing the office reception security team ensuring the provision of a safe and secure environment, an impeccable first impression and seamless 5 star meet and great service to visitors and clients.

The front of house team leader will report to and support the front of house manager. This role requires excellent customers service and communication skills along with an exemplary appearance.

  • Visitor assistance
  • Liaison with occupiers, clients and service providers
  • Access control and queue management
  • Manage visitor bookings and events
  • Responsible for client and company databases, reports and documentation
  • X-Ray screening and searches
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping
  • Manage all systems and equipment
  • Incident and emergency response
  • Compliance to ensure the security and safety of the Shard, building assets, visitors, staff and occupiers.
  • Working as part of a close team, communicating effectively with others.
  • To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner, complying with all client and company policies and procedures.
  • To undertake additional duties in line with management requests as required.

What we are looking for

  • Strong leadership
  • Ability to problem solve under pressure and multitask
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • SIA Licence
  • First Aid & X-Ray Trained
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and develop and show high level of commitment and professionalism.
