Our small team of Switchboard/Front of House Assistants provide switchboard services at Birmingham Women's Hospital and operate the switchboard for the entire Trust.

Potholders will be required to demonstrate excellent customer care skills, possess clear communication skills and be able to provide a welcoming and empathetic reception and switchboard service for all patients, staff, and visitors to the Trust.

Switchboard duties will include handling emergency calls and responding to alarms so the ability to remain calm always is essential

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to be organised, accurate and methodical in their work.

Possess excellent interpersonal skills, good telephone manner and the ability to work effectively when under pressure, basic computer skills and previous relevant experience would be an advantage, however full training will be given.

The post holder may be required to work un-supervised at times.
