Global Provider Network Specialist:

Healix International provides an end-to-end service to policyholders who are taken ill abroad and need medical assistance or advice possibly leading to evacuation to another country where better medical facilities are available.

The Global Provider Network Team is responsible for managing and maintaining the Healix worldwide medical provider database.

The database is an extremely valuable tool used within all Healix businesses to identify appropriate providers, enable direct billing and to ensure that recognised medical providers are used.


We are currently looking for a diligent and proactive Global Provider Network Specialist, with high attention to detail and experience in customer service, to join our developing Provider Network team.

Our RequirementsGood geographical knowledge

  • Ability to build positive relationships
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of contracting is an advantage
  • Additional languages are an advantage
  • Previous experience in international travel insurance is desirable, but not essential
  • Competent with MS technologies, including Outlook, Word and Excel

    About the role:

Key Activities of an International Database SpecialistGathering data for new providers, ensuring all contract details, credential documentation and correspondence are accurately recorded.


  • Setting up cashless networks of providers and expanding our direct billing capabilities.
  • Producing reports on specific locations showing preferred providers, including for distribution to clients.
  • Assist in building an air ambulance network and evacuation options.
  • Actively partake in cost containment activities to reduce the costs incurred by clients, and to increase Healix revenue.
  • Support the development of process improvement to enhance efficiency and quality output.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any provider based issues within the finance and invoicing chain.
  • Act as the first point of escalation and take ownership of escalated issues.

What you will need

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good geographical knowledge

Desired criteria

  • Additional language such as Spanish, French, Portuguese or Arabic
  • Previous experience of working within the international travel insurance environment
  • Knowledge of contracting is an advantage, particularly in a healthcare or travel setting
