This is an exciting opportunity to join Davies Resourcing as a Trainee Accountant.

Your training will help you gain practical work experience and core skills that will enable you to build a long-term career in Finance & Accountancy roles.


Davies Resourcing will support you through your training, with you being able to choose between membership and study with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) with access to training and resources, as well as dedicated study leave.

Working as a Trainee Accountant, you will be an integral member of our Finance team.

We will support you in your accountancy course, at the end of which you will receive a formal Finance accreditation.


The role:


  • Support in the generation, communication and finalisation of the monthly timesheet process for all contractors working through Davies Resourcing Limited,
  • Understand and support the accounts payable process,
  • Understand and support the accounts receivable process,
  • Understand and support cash and bank reconciliation processes,
  • Support month end accounting and reporting processes,
  • Support in project focussed accounting deliverables,
  • Develop knowledge of external audit process and support interim and final audit testing,
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes,
  • Investigate issues/queries.

Your impact:


You will work closely with colleagues in the Finance team within Davies Resourcing and will gain insight and exposure across a variety of functional teams across the Group's Global Solutions division.

You will support Davies Resourcing with most day-to-day and project activity, as well as transactional accountancy and, as you develop, will work toward supporting in Month End reporting.

Qualifications

Preferred:

Degree level qualification at 2:1 or higher


Required:

A-Grade at A-Level in Maths (either predicted or confirmed);
2 other A-Levels at a grade of A or higher (either predicted or confirmed);
7+ GCSEs at a grade of 9-5, which should include English, Maths & a Science.
