About The Role

Part-time support worker (approximately 20 hours per week)

Your role will be dedicated to working with a young man with a Spinal Cord Injury, living with his parents in their own home in Birmingham.

You will be supporting this young man with all activities of daily living. You will support him to get ready for school and then support whilst at school. This young man requires assistance in all aspects of personal care, including bowel and bladder care.

He is a full-time wheelchair user and requires assistance with transfers using hoists and slide boards.

About You
Experience of complex care would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided

You will be friendly, easy to get on with, approachable and confident, trustworthy, and reliable

Flexible in approach to meet the needs of this young man

Ability to understand privacy within the home environment

An interest in sports (football, cricket & rugby) would be beneficial

Registered on the DBS update service would also be beneficial but not essential

Non smoker

Shift Times
Monday to Friday Term Times - 6.30am to 4.30pm

Monday to Friday Non-Term Times - 8.30am to 4.30pm

Pay Rates
£14.00 per hour Monday to Friday day shifts

£10.50 per hour training rate

Mileage - paid at 0.45p per mile
