Body Design Principal Engineer / 0618

Cranfield

To start ASAP - 12 months assignment

Rate - £29.60/hr PAYE

Inside IR35

Description
Body part design and development for new vehicle projects.

Metal press part, plastic/fabric trim part, mechanical part will be a scope of design study (BIW structures, under covers, NVH insulators, heat insulators, door mechanics, etc)

To study design shape based on basic material/structure engineering and customer's requirement.


To have a discussion with related departments (Other part design, manufacturing team, purchasing, project management, CAD team, suppliers, etc) and to find technical solution.

Prepare drawing, have a review with line managers.


Qualifications, Skills and Training Requirements

  • Experience in car industry is very welcome.
  • Basic understanding and skill of mechanical engineering is expected.
  • To organize and be confident with an ability to manage projects within set deadlines
  • Ability to multitask effectively within a team environment in managing priorities


  • Communication language

  • English (fluent)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Valid driving license
