We partner extensively with a range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal,Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with our external client base, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

We have a Client relationship group, dedicated to overseeing the Organizational service performance and strategic partnershipfor our top tier client base, where we play a key role in supporting our global clients to ensure they have a first-class experience when doing business with Citi.

Our Business Intelligence and Process Re-engineering group works alongside our Operations teams delivering automation solutions to solve for operational challenges.

We partner with Citi's innovation labs to drive optimization, and overall play a pivotal rolein enabling us to transform to achieve our target operating model.

Job Purpose:


The EMEA Regional Head of Structured Notes Middle Office is a senior level position responsible for managing the EMEA Structured Notes MO team, which can be based in London, or Belfast.

They will be focused on providing supervision to a growing notes supportteam, implementing effective controls and ensuring first class support to the Structured Notes business in EMEA.


Responsibilities:


  • Have in depth knowledge of the Structured Notes Front to back flows including the interplay with IPA and clearing houses
  • Exhibit knowledge of Structured Notes payoffs, understand key risks, and have knowledge and experience in implementing controls for a growing business
  • Maintain position records in coordination with the traditional trading desk assistant and / or trade processing functions
  • Monitor break and exception volumes to identify trends and key areas of focus for development. Work with tech and the business to get prioritisation for enhancements, owning the enhancement detail and delivery.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support to Front Office Sales and Trading specifically for structured notes.
  • Directly impact the area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and formulation of procedures/process improvement.
  • Identify control deficiencies, resolve issues and escalate control gaps and issues to senior management when appropriate
  • Provide informal and formal leadership for the team, and coach and train new recruits, and provide guidance and support to junior staff.
  • Conduct discovery and due diligence activities with clients to solve complex client queries

Qualifications/experience:

- (preferred) Previous experience of supporting a demanding sales/trading desk - ideally Equity Derivatives / Structured notes.

  • Experience of delivering results, particularly from a transformation/change management perspective.
  • Ability to drive global initiatives and consistency across the regions.
  • Proven record of delivering results and working to strict deadlines.
  • Familiarity with impacts on risk and P/L.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Strong sense of accountability and responsibility for owning issues through to resolution needed.
