What you'll be doing
As a Buyer, you will have the following accountabilities:

Awareness of our Group Suppliers and preferred supply chain for materials.
Market analysis/intelligence analysis of data, business presentation, including tender analysis and making recommendations.

Selection of suppliers

Business/Project based comparison (commercial/operational) to generate shortlist and recommendation in accordance with business governance and project requirements.
Negotiation of terms & prices against targets conclude terms/SLA and report saving/loss on project by project/business basis
Establish long term supplier / supply chain relationships focusing on value for money, service & product quality and continuous improvement to drive competitive advantage for Balfour Beatty.
Manage supplier performance using eProcurement portal for projects/ contracts. Escalate any ongoing problems.
Develop and analyse procurement management information, including spend reports; prepare/populate monthly dashboards, to improve business intelligence and inform procurement decisions and business plans made at all levels within the organisation.
Build and maintain strong engagement relationships with internal stakeholders and the supply chain.

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

Previous experience within a procurement function
Knowledge of procurement programmes and financial targets
Good negotiating skills
Experience with subcontractor procurement
CIPS desirable
