As part of our continued development, we are recruiting professional and enthusiastic individuals to join our busy and dynamic Ramp and Baggage teams.


JOB DESCRIPTION
Allocation is the principle purpose of this role.

To allocate and supervise the daily Ramp activity on shift, to ensure Cobalt meets and exceeds the required standards of customer satisfaction, quality standards and health & safety standards as per agreed SLA's with customer airlines and any other relevant third parties.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Accountable to the Duty Manager for the resource planning within the department by effective and efficient allocation of rosters, leave and overtime arrangements
  • Responsible for the daily coordination and supervision of all resources within Ramp & Baggage Services in order to meet all operational and service commitments (i.e. service standards as specified in the SLA or defined in practice, on time performance and delay recovery) in the most cost effective manner
  • Supervise effective service execution on shift in concert with the DM and other team members when required
  • Ensure that communication is up to date, prompt and effective via all required systems and channels and works together with the DM to ensure an overall smooth Cobalt operation on the day
  • In conjunction with the DM, ensure staff are coached and developed actively and identify appropriate training and development opportunities
  • Assist DM with addressing staff welfare issues, including absence and lateness
  • Assist with timely and appropriate execution of company appraisal process within Ramp & Baggage Services
  • Liaise on a regular basis with Customer airlines, ensuring that we are providing best in class customer service delivery
  • Handle airline complaints/claims in an efficient, timely and customer focused way in coordination with or support of the customer airline's policy
  • Any other reasonable management request in line with the skillset and grade of the role

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:


  • Experience of staff allocation is preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of customer airline operational procedures
  • Proven communication and leadership skills gained within a supervisory position
  • At least 2 years experience of managing large groups of staff
  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative and make operational decisions
  • Sound knowledge of DfT regulations

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

1) 5 year check able employment/education history

2) Full UK manual driving licence (max 3 penalty points) preferred

3) Right to Work in the UK

4) Will be required to complete UK DBS (criminal record check) and overseas criminal record check, if applicable.

5) Must be prepared and able to work rotating shift patterns (early and late shifts) over a 7 day working week

6) Must be aware that the role involves significant manual handling and working outside

7) Must have a minimum of 12 months previous allocation experience in a pressurised environment


Salary:
£36,000.00-£39,950.00 per year
