The ExtraCare Charitable Trust are recruiting for a Full-Time Senior Housing Support Assistant on a permanent contract to lead and line manage 2 part time Housing Assistants and work with the wider team, based at our Hughenden Gardens Retirement Village in High Wycombe.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience in providing Housing Support and would like to further their career.
As a Senior Housing Support Assistant you will be supporting older people to live as independently as they can and understand the challenges older people face.

- Role: Senior Housing Support Assistant
- Hours: 37.5hrs
- Flexibility to work some evenings and at least one weekend day up to 4 hours.

- Salary: £25,301 per annum
- Arrange to visit residents or households within the Village to assess property condition, and ensure tenancy / lease conditions are being adhered to
- Signpost residents to our Housing Officer / Welfare Benefits Advisor / Village Manager / Repairs Team where appropriate for further interventions and if tenancy or lease breach is identified
- Raise issues of concern relating to resident safety and wellbeing, including safeguarding issues to the appropriate Manager
- Assist with Village surgeries to provide advice and guidance to residents in respect of tenancy / lease and / or other services available within Village
- Provide advice and guidance to residents to report property repairs, liaising with the Repairs Team
- Facilitate viewings for prospective residents including show around home and promoting our facilities.
- Support and line manage 2 part time Housing Support assistants
- Keep accurate records in order to manage Anti Social Behaviour
- Of working in ideally a housing related or support services providing advice & guidance and excellent customer service
- Competent IT and administration skills
- Of compliance and auditing preferably in a social care setting
- Experience with lettings, income management and/or Anti-Social Behaviour handling (preferable)
- Experience with facilities management.
- Understanding of rent and service charges (preferable)
- Engaging, positive personality and a Team Player
- Empathetic, friendly, and able to build relationships with residents who will have varying needs.
- Solution focused with a creative outlook to resolve issues
- Able to work under pressure calmly and prioritise your work
- Good record keeping & attention to detail.
