Key Accountabilities: 1.Assist in the preparation of fresh cakes, salads and sandwiches, and with serving and preparation of meals as requested ensuring that all food is non-injurious. 2. Serving customers, taking orders and use of a till, hot and cold drink preparation and cleaning tables. 3.


Clear and wash kitchen utensils and equipment, loading and unloading dishwashers as required, ensuring the dishwasher always has sufficient chemicals & salt.

4. Ensure the cutlery and condiment trolley is well stocked at all times. 5.

Using the till to obtain payment for food and drink items ensuring all money handling systems are adhered to. 6.

Maintain the hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring the kitchen is left clean and tidy at the end of service, including emptying bins, mopping floors etc.

ensuring all relevant cleaning schedules are filled in, rubbish disposed of in relevant bins.


  • Ensure that all H.A.C.C.P documentation and procedures are followed and adhered to including filling in all relevant paperwork on a daily basis. Raise any concerns or issues with the Catering Manager, Catering Team Leader or Duty Cook. 8.


Fulfil Functions both internally and externally as requested within working hours as well as being flexible in delivering events out of hours including weekends and evenings.

Assist with storage of delivered items, paying attention to stock rotation and general cleanliness of the storage areas ensuring the F.I.F.O Principals are adhered to.

Operate within the Organisational Policies and Procedures, (including Health & Safety, Clinical and HR Policies), and comply with legal requirements such as Environmental Health and HSE.

11. Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Catering Manager or, in their absence, the Catering Team Leader/Duty Cook
