Job Summary
The University of Birmingham's in-house Recruitment Team are looking for an experienced internal recruitment professional.

In this role you will lead on all aspects of recruitment for our varied customer base, including our academic colleges and our professional service teams.

You'll be responsible for overseeing advertising, interview, and onboarding processes whilst acting as the first point of contact for hiring managers.

In addition, you will participate in recruitment related projects and assist in the delivery of recruitment training.

Main Duties

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate recruitment and selection campaigns for a variety of appointments with a range of stakeholders, to include placing advertisements, sourcing and offer management.
  • Advise and guide colleagues throughout the University on recruitment best practice, to enable them to recruit in an effective manner.
  • Develop a broad range of selection approaches for managers across the University, to enable inclusivity and transparency.
  • Deliver recruitment and selection training for various stakeholders to ensure consistency in approach align to employment legislation.
  • Improve recruitment and selection processes, so they are fit for purpose and effective, ensuring the recruitment service is continuously evaluated and improved.
  • Maintain recruitment records and data, and share regular reports to inform resource planning and costing.
  • Ensure redeployment processes are used effectively by managers, to ensure roles are filled by internal redeployment where appropriate.
  • Promote equality and diversity values acting as a role model and fostering an inclusive working culture individually as well throughout recruitment processes.
  • Ensure own activity meets agreed SLAs and KPIs taking appropriate corrective action where required.
  • Support on daytoday Immigration and other compliance activities within the team
  • Work in partnership with other HR and Central Staff Hub colleagues to ensure recruitment best practice's and HR Core values are followed.

  • Recruitment experience within an inhouse setting
  • Proven track record of delivering volume end to end recruitment campaigns.
