Always working closely with clients to ensure deliver the highest quality products, we now provide metal pressing and other manufacturing solutions to a number of key automotive and off-highway OEMs and tier one companies across the UK and beyond, including JCB, CAT, Jaguar and Land Rover.
Role Overview
Key Duties
- Help drive activities to meet KPI targets to reduce inventory and supply chain costs.
- Reschedule & expedite material orders with the supplier base through the use of MRP.
- Monitor and maintain safety stock in the key areas of the manufacturing process.
- Deliver robust and executable operational plans based on available material and capacity in close collaboration with the production team.
- Responsible for the monitoring of customer schedule input into SAP and overall capacity study and production plan readiness meet OTIF to the customer.
- Work alongside productions team to ensure capacity levels are managed in support of the master production schedules for each area of the business.
- Agree and maintain inventory value based on SIOP in collaboration with the Purchasing Team to meet KPI targets while maintaining a steady flow of raw materials into production to meet customer and business objectives.
- Responsible for production schedule adherence and on time delivery to assigned customers.
- Stock management with the primary goal of supporting Purchasing to procure materials to meet the production plan.
- Introduce cost saving initiatives and improvements with a goal of lean manufacturing in mind.
- Awareness of New product introduction and implications for planning function, BOMs/Routes, Work Centre, Capacity.
- Advanced understanding and experience with use of MRP & Bills of Materials framework is essential. Previous use of SAP would be an advantage.
- Data input into SAP.
- Previous experience in Material Scheduling, forecasting, Procurement and Planning within the Automotive & Offhighway sectors
(essential): - Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence personnel of various levels and disciplines (desirable)
- Excellent IT skills including Intermediate to advanced Excel

- Proficient in using MRP Systems
