Lecturer in Graphic Design & Illustration

Where you'll work:
This role is based at the College's Dartford campus.


Your hours: 29.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum


Your pay:
£25, £32,229.60 per annum pro rata (£31,794 - £40,287 per annum full time equivalent), depending on teaching and other qualifications and experience.

Working within North Kent College's Creative Digital Design curriculum area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitability qualified, experienced, and passionate individual to join the team as a Lecturer in Graphic Design & Illustration / Animation & Concept Art.


You'll be required to prepare, teach and assess at a variety of qualification levels, providing support and guidance to your learners as they progress through their studies.

You will be teaching on a range of courses including Level 3 Graphic Design & Illustration, Level 3 Animation & Concept Art and potentially drawing / software workshops in Level 3 Architecture, Interior and Product Design.

We're looking for an all-round creative that has a good background in these sectors and as such have excellent knowledge of traditional Graphic Design and Illustration, Animation and 3D software skills.


We need you to be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach and an eye for detail whilst working to challenging deadlines.

Teaching experience, particularly within Further Education, would be advantageous but isn't essential.

Likewise, although a full teaching qualification (at Level 5 or above) isn't required at this stage, you would need to secure this within 3 years of appointment.
