Job Summary:

Stockport Council has a track record of successfully delivering major capital infrastructure schemes over recent years and that work is continuing with over £100 million of investment, including the A34 cycling and walking improvements, City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement, Cheadle Towns Fund and Mayoral Development Corporation activity planned.

You will play a key role in their management team at an exciting time for Stockport.

You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of transportation capital projects supporting our ambitious regeneration plans including those in the town centre as part of the Mayoral Development Corporation and a new railway station in Cheadle, delivering a new transport interchange, sustainable travel schemes and other public transport and highway works.

You will be commercially and politically aware, have a significant track record of successful programme management and will have leadership skills that deliver continuous improvement.
