Group Planning & Performance Management (PPM) plays a key role in setting Deutsche Bank's strategic direction and translating the vision into financial plans and outcomes.

You will liaise with a high-calibre team of approx. 50 professionals with a variety of backgrounds reports directly into the Group Chief Financial Officer. It primarily operates in Frankfurt, London, and Mumbai.


Your role will cover Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) including setting financial targets and developing a fully integrated Group plan, simulating the bank's performance under different conditions, and deriving strategic options.

The team is also responsible for Group financial performance updates and projections to the Management Board and helps to inform and facilitate decision-making including mitigating actions, should performance deviate, or be projected to deviate from plan.

Your key responsibilities

  • Conducting financial analysis and modelling work on variety of topics across the PPM scope
  • Preparing planning and performance review presentations
  • Taking ownership of specific work packages in projects and recurring deliverables
  • Delivering high quality outputs
  • Bringing in creative ideas to enhance processes and outcomes whilst building strong working relationships with stakeholders in other areas

Your skills and experience

  • Excellent analytical skills to understand financial concepts and solve problems
  • Relevant work experience in banking industry or financial consulting
  • Good understanding of relevant financial and accounting concepts and KPIs including Profit & Loss, balance sheet, capital, and liquidity
  • Initial experience and strong desire to advance in financial modelling (Excel) and FP&A work (Finance systems (e.g., SAP) knowledge an additional plus)
  • Ability to work at the highest quality level under time pressure, a highlevel of personal initiative and commitment and a team player mentality
