  • Description Applications are invited for the role of Crime Investigation Trainer within the Wiltshire Police People Development Department.


You will work with the Crime Investigation Training Team to plan for, design, update and deliver training to investigators both police officers and staff and at advanced level you will work with those who investigate the most serious offences.

You will be working on PIP 1 and PIP 2 learning programmes and with assessment for accreditation.
Your base will be at Devizes - Wiltshire Police HQ. Training is also delivered in Swindon, Melksham, and other sites within the Wiltshire Police Estate.

Working hours will be between the times of 8am to 6pm with a total of 37 hours per week and Monday to Friday.

Previous experience in Serious and Complex Crime Investigation at PIP level 2 - (Professionalising Investigations Programme) is essential.

Main Responsibilities
1 Deliver National Police Training for new to role PIP1 and 2 crime investigation officers, this will include police officers and police staff
2 Specialist Training - Develop, organise, and deliver specialist training as directed to meet the organisational demand
3 Induction Training and Training for the Special Constabulary, Police Community Support Officers and Local Crime Investigators

5 Help maintain training Quality Standards

6 Departmental Representation - Represent the Training Department with internal and external clients and represent the organisation at regional and national venues.
