Role and responsibilities


Working within the Parts & Upgrades team you will be responsible for growing the sales of parts and upgrade services and up selling where appropriate, this involves handling customer enquiries and pro-actively generating customer leads.

Ensure our customers receive the best possible service from the Parts & Upgrades department.

This includes (but not restricted to) being the first point of contact for customers both face to face and electronically, developing a good rapport with potential clients to support them with their needs.

Stay abreast of new products and parts in the marketplace.

Responsible for carrying out all tasks and duties in line with company policies and procedures and accountable for making sure all company standards in terms of health & safety and quality are met.

Daily duties

  • Handling customer enquiries and proactively generating customer leads.
  • Deliver outstanding customer services.
  • Advice customers on the company's products and services, tailoring the best solution possible.
  • Produce accurate quotes for potential customers.
  • Upsell additional products and services to meet departmental and business targets.
  • Make sure the correct level of information is gathered at the point of sale so customer expectations are met and other departments within the business can function correctly.
  • Work closely with other departments to make sure customer expectations are met.
  • Book service work into the workshop diary and produce accurate job cards for the workshop to follow.
  • Be an accessible point of contact for customers, providing regular, accurate and timely updates.
  • Maintain accurate records in the company's customer database.
  • Keep working area clean & tidy.
  • Continuous improvement of company practices.
  • Maintain the Leighton brand and values.
  • Understand and keep up to date with developments and new products.
Skills / Qualifications

Be customer facing and have good presentation / communication skills.

Good knowledge and understanding of an automotive workshop environment.

Previous experience in a customer facing roll and the desire to uphold a high level of customer service.

Good understanding of vehicles and vehicle parts.

Be sales driven and have the enthusiasm to push sales through a consultative sell.

Have a good level of IT & computer skills.

Must be flexible.

Have good attention to detail.

Understand or have the enthusiasm to learn about the company's products and relevant marketplace.


Salary:
£23,000.00-£24,500.00 per year
