Your purpose:


You will join a team that offers innovative digital services and solutions across challenging projects not only in the nuclear industry but also the wider energy sectors.

This role requires you to demonstrate experience and knowledge of BIM, model coordination and clash detection across the multiple Nuclear and Power markets.


You will work closely with Information Managers and Technical Leads, to provide Digital and BIM Coordination support to multi-disciplinary projects across the full project lifecycle.


The
BIM Coordinator is a key function within the project delivery, and you shall have effective regard for the coordination and management of project workflows, which will assist with the creation and managing of digital information and in accordance with the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and agreed standards, methods and procedures.


Location:
Whitehaven/Bristol.


Responsibilities:


  • Support the team with the initial project setup in accordance with internal, industry and client standards and ensuring these standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring information management protocols and standards are adhered to under the guidance of the Information Manager.
  • Creation and maintenance of federated models throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Single and multidiscipline design coordination ensuring best practice is followed.
  • Performing clash and coordination detection on behalf of the project and reporting on model coordination issues.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders and partners in terms of their role within the BIM process.
  • Conduct model audits and liaise with Information Manager on model performance and structure.
  • Creation, maintenance and deployment of model content library for project.
  • Support technician staff to ensure that they are provided with the information, software, hardware, training and technical support they require to ensure delivery of CAD data to project requirements.

Requirements:


  • Experience using Autodesk Navisworks is essential, experience using Autodesk Inventor, Revit and Plant 3D is advantageous.
  • Familiar with the UK BIM framework and ISO 19650 suite of standards.
  • Must be experienced in the federation of BIM models and capable of model checking, running clash and interface management, reporting, and closing out identified issues.
  • Good technical background in engineering, being able to liaise with discipline leads and modellers.
  • A good understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and how they are implemented on projects.
  • Have a sound knowledge of Common Data Environments (CDE's).
  • Conscientious, able to work without supervision and proactively manage time.
