Age UK's Information & Advice Line is recruiting With living costs rising and the need for financial support ever growing, we are building our dedicated team of Advisers to guide and advise older people on the relevant benefits available to them.

We are recruiting for five motivated individuals to join this growing team as
Benefits Advisers.
If you have a knowledge of the issues affecting older people and a passion for helping others, then this may be the role for you

This role offers hybrid working between home and either our Blackpool office, surrounded by excellent amenities or our Ashburton office, situated on the edge of the beautiful Dartmoor National Park. The team work from the office at least one day a week, although this can be more if you prefer.

Must haves:

Knowledge of issues affecting older people e.g. the health system, social care etc.
Passion and enthusiasm for helping people in later life.
Experience of telephonebased customer service.
Excellent active listening.
Ability to work within required parameters with regard to call handling.
Personally resilient.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Competence in IT skills including Microsoft products and CRM systems.
Accurate with attention to detail.
Calm, empathic, compassionate.
Committed to providing a highquality service.
Committed to a team working approach.

Great to haves

Working knowledge of the benefits system and benefits.
Previous experience of working in an information and advice services role.
Previous experience of working in a Contact Centre type environment.
Previous experience of working in a hybrid role.
