Join our team as a
Primary School Teaching Assistant in Stockport (SK6).

This rewarding position starts in
September 2023 and offers a temporary to permanent role, providing the opportunity for a contract after a term.

Our delightful school in Stockport is dedicated to nurturing and inspiring students, ensuring their full potential is reached.


Position Details:


  • Hours: 27.7 hours as a teaching assistant, 5 hours as a midday assistant.
  • Fulltime hours: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
  • Key responsibilities include phonics support, assisting ASD/behavioural needs, motor skills development, implementing talking maps/SEMH interventions, and facilitating reading and writing groups to accelerate progress.

Required Skills:


  • Phonics experience preferred, training in the specific scheme will be provided.
  • Experience with ASD/behavioural needs.
  • Proficiency in motor skills development.
  • Knowledge of talking maps and SEMH interventions.
  • Ability to lead reading and writing groups effectively.
