If you are a Qualified Audit Senior, then look no further Spencer Clarke Group are working exclusively with a fabulous accountancy practice who are seeking to employ several Audit Seniors on a FULLY REMOTE basis.

**To be considered for this position you MUST hold a formal accountancy practice and be based in the UK and have at least 3 years UK practice experience.

Key Objective for the role:

Oversee the audit process for each job, reporting to the corresponding manager/partner

Effective supervision of semi-senior and junior staff, including leading teams on assignments

To produce accurate draft accounts with mínimal outstanding queries, together with a well-presented audit file in a timely and methodical manner


Key Duties:


  • Working on a diverse portfolio of clients including small and medium sized privately owned limited companies, LLP's, partnerships and sole traders
  • Responsible for planning, execution (compliance and substantive testing, analytical review, etc.) and completion of audit work to a high standard
  • Effective supervision of semisenior and junior staff, so must be able to delegate, monitor and review their work.
  • Will take full responsibility of each audit assignment and will be responsible for completing the audit work within the agreed timescale with the support and guidance from the relevant manager/partner.
  • Preparation and implementation of high quality work programmes
  • Responsible for dealing with technical issues or seeking guidance where necessary
  • Production of draft accounts, from a variety of client records, together with producing a wellpresented audit file (paperless) for review
  • Agreeing adjustments with clients and dealing with disclosure requirements
  • Auditing tax computations
  • Drafting management letters and reports
  • Keeping senior management informed of progress
  • Responsible for the delivery of the audit output within specified budget timescale
  • Ad hoc specialist assignments as and when they arise


Within this role you will be reporting to Partners and Managers and working within the Audit Team working on a diverse portfolio of clients including entrepreneurial owner managed businesses, high net work individuals and some public interest entities.


Qualifications and Experience Required:


_Essential_

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA
  • Must have acquired the necessary skills/experience at senior level to meet the requirements of the role
  • Experience of accounts preparation
  • Up to date working knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, auditing standards, company law and a good basic knowledge of corporate and personal tax to enable draft tax computations to be reviewed
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good English, both written and verbal
  • Good time management with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible attitude, with ability to prioritise workloads

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Pro-Audit, CCH and Microsoft Office Products, in particular Excel software
