Do you have experience as a youth worker, sports coach or a police officer?

Are you ex-army or into music production, had previous experience in youth offending or as a Behavior Mentor?

Do you want to work in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) or a SEN unit within a mainstream school?


  • Behavior Mentor required in Tower Hamlets, East London
  • January 2023 Start date
  • Outstanding Behavior Mentor Needed
  • Based in Tower Hamlets, East London
  • Earn Between £85 - £100 per day (based on experience)


A Behavior Mentor works on a full time basis supporting student's behavior and learning inside and outside of the classrooms.

The successful applicant will be doing 1:1 sessions to maintain the progress of student's behavior and learning, to ensure eachpupil has the same opportunity to achieve their personal best.

The Behavior Mentor will work with a range of students, but give priority to those who need the most help, especially those experiencing multiple disadvantages including:

  • Children with special or medical needs
  • Challenging behavior
  • Children with a statement of special educational needs


The role of a Behavior Mentor is to work with provision or school staff and other agencies to pro-vide support to students who need help overcoming barriers to learning, where behavior and attendance issues are a cause for concern.

The intention is to bringabout sustained change with individual pupils, to improve of their behavior and attendance

The Behavior Mentor will work with children on a one-to-one basis or in small or large groups, acting as a:

  • Listener
  • Facilitator for learning
  • Encourager
  • Motivator
  • Role model
A Behavior Mentor is a tailored intervention role that benefits the schools we work with.

It has been designed to help pupils reach their full potential as students are likely to attend a Pupil Referral Unit, SEBD School or an Alternative Provision or Charity.

As a Behavior Mentor, your role will be helping challenging students overcome their behavioral issues, whilst acting as a role model and someone to look up to.
