Permanent, full time - 35 hours


Salary:
£23,220 - £26,500 per annum

Burford, Oxfordshire - hybrid working

Blue Cross are one of the UK's leading animal welfare organisations for animals.

We support sick, injured and homeless pets and care for more than 40,000 animals every year through our rehoming, veterinary and education programmes.

What is the role?

We are so fortunate that a large percentage of our income comes from gifts in wills with the generous foresight of our kind benefactors, it is so important to us that estate administration is dealt with in a careful and efficient way to protect both this critical income stream and our reputation.

Joining our team, you will not only manage your own case files, the quantity of which will allow you to work proactively as a case handler and encourages opportunities to develop positive relationships with professionals and family and friends, but also support the management of our Pet Peace of Mind service and to have a desire to work with the team and colleagues across the charity to further enhance future legacies to Blue Cross.

What is required?

We are looking for people with the following:

  • Communicating effectively and sympathetically with both professionals and elderly and vulnerable people and with first class inter-personal skills
  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent with passes in Maths and English
  • Working in an office environment with organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Working effectively as part of a team to produce high quality results but with the ability to be self motivated to work on your own to meet deadlines and produce accurate work

It would also be great if you had:

  • An understanding of legacy administration at a charity
  • ILM Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration
  • Knowledge of, and ability to use and develop, the "First Class4" computerised legacy administration system
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
