Key responsibilities:

Taking a leading role in the migration of an MS SQL Database from on premise to cloud, ensuring the proposed migration plan is fit for purpose
Working with an offshore team, providing guidance and mentorship as required

Skills

A Microsoft Certified DBA with experience operating as a Lead, with a technical appreciation of SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014 and 201
Skilled in SQL database Migration (from on premise to cloud)
Experience within AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
Experience in Replication, Virtualization, Log shipping, Disaster Recovery, High Availability, Automation Scripting and Clustering
Proficient in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Client/Server Connectivity
Strong communication skills must be comfortable communicating with technical peers and business
